Talk about “VIRAL”! This little lady is making a huge difference for little people with tiny little dolls! I love everything that I’ve read about this Tasmanian artist and creator of “Tree Change Dolls”. As a child she had a passion for dolls which she never really outgrew. Today she still plays with them but in a different way and is now sharing them with the world. I’m on a waiting list (hopefully ) for a few of her dolls and I’ve ordered note cards featuring these natural beauties. We salute her passion, vision and her talent here at OurFamilyPatch.com
From Sonia’s Tumblr site: http://treechangedolls.tumblr.com
“These dolls have been rescued and rehabilitated from op-shops and tip shops around Tasmania. These lil fashion dolls have opted for a “tree change”, swapping high-maintenance glitz ‘n’ glamour for down-to-earth style. I hand repaint the dolls faces, mold new shoes, and my Mum sews and knits their clothing.
My sisters and I grew up playing with second-hand dolls and home-made toys in the beautiful Tasmanian natural environment. I love the satisfaction of repairing and reusing discarded items to give them a new lease on life.”
